What can you Expect at Worship?
As You Are:
Come as you are. You are all welcome without any exemption or exclusion. Wear what you like. St. Martin’s is casual and informal. Most people do not wear a tie or dress. Bring a water bottle or coffee/tea bottle to Church. It’s still a desert outside, and we want you to hydrate enough.
It’s God’s House
St. Martin’s truly belongs to God, not to any of us.
This means that you are very welcome to participate or not participate as you would like in our worship Sunday mornings and in the life of the St. Martin’s community.
Children:
Children from infants to teenagers are welcome and celebrated at both the 8:00 a.m. and 10:15 a.m. Sunday services. Please let us know how we can help you, if you want, with your children.
People Want to Help, If You Want Help:
The entire worship service, including the Bible readings and the music are found in the bulletin that an usher will give you when you arrive. If you have questions or need help with Church or with life, don’t hesitate to ask. People at St. Martin’s are genuinely welcoming and helpful. We also don’t assume, judge, or want to intrude on your private space.
Everybody can share the bread and wine:
The Eucharist- also known as Communion or The Mass-
Every single person, from the tiniest child to all of you are welcomed and encouraged to receive the bread and the wine at Communion.
No Exceptions. No Exclusions. It’s God’s Table, and you are all invited.
Your background doesn’t matter. What you believe or don’t believe, doesn’t matter. Your former church relationship or lack of church experience does not matter.
Just know you are invited to join.
We serve bread, and gluten free bread, and wine at Communion.
You are welcome to receive only the bread as the Church believes that is sufficient.
